A new Milestone!

My New Award

I am absolutely over the moon this evening as I proudly write my new post to you all. Tonight I reached a new milestone in my weightloss journey. I lost 4lbs this week with a total loss of 4st 3.5lbs in 26 weeks and received my new sparkly 4 stone award (eeek) from my amazing consultant Siobhan. To be honest when I began in January I had no idea where any of this would lead me, to have an overall weight-loss now of 6st 3.5lbs is so surreal. And to be laying it out in black and white, it feels like I am writing it about someone else, this is what other people do, those Men and Women I have read about for years in magazines.

I had a very odd week this week, those of you who know me know I have a bad back and of course one week into my new exercise plan and my overall 12 week plan was of course out of the window, but it made me more determined to look after my food and as a result I lost 4lbs! It just goes to show once you have a good eating plan behind you there is no excuse not to loose weight. I could have sat down ate a full slice pan, a tray of cream buns and felt sorry for myself but it is never the answer in any aspect of your life, weight related or not. You have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and look at the bigger picture. My main motivation as I said before is my gorgeous little man Scott, he is what keeps me going day in and day out. Once you have that motivation there the world is your oyster.

And as if to throw another spanner in the works, I had a party to attend this week which was my cousin Jonathan’s 40th Birthday, of course we had an fabulous night and I wouldn’t miss it for the world, it was so nice to see family you haven’t see in ages and be apart of such a special time. But I have to say I am very proud of myself for the choices I made on the night. The party was in the stunningClanard Court Hotel’  in kildare, my aunt and cousins put on a lovely selection of food and I was thrilled I could choose a ‘Healthier option’. I also enjoyed a tipple or two but I am all for the  ‘Y.O.L.O’. Have a fantastic week everyone!
