My Asian Style Sticky Chicken

This Sticky Chicken is a perfect midweek or weekend meal or just to have in the fridge to snack on! It is sticky, juicy mouth wateringly good chicken with beautiful sweet citrus notes. Perfect served with boiled or fried noodles and a seasonal salad or vegetables!



20 Skinless extra lean Chicken pieces
2 tbsp of oyster sauce
1 tbsp of honey
2 cloves of freshy chopped garlic
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of fresh or ground ginger
1 tbsp of dark soy sauce
1 tsp of finely chopped red chilli or chilli powder
Zest of 1/2 an orange
Freshly ground black pepper

In a bowl add the above ingredients and stir well so everything is combined.

Prepare the chicken by making sure all skin and fat is removed. Add the ckicken to a roasting tray and pour half the marinade over the the chicken.

Cover with Cling wrap and place in the fridge to marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight of your can wait that long!

Place in a preheated oven @180c for 1 hour. Basting with the remaining marinade 3/4 times while the Chicken is cooking.


This is perfect marinade for a whole butterflied chicken and thrown on the barbie in summer, skinless duck breasts or even for a juicy piece of steak!
