Serves 2 people
Ingredients for the base.
500g of extra lean beef mince (I use 98% extra lean from my butchers) you can also use extra lean Chicken, Turkey or pork mince.
1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce.
1 tsp of freshly minced garlic or garlic granules.
Salt and pepper to season.
Quick no cook Marinara Sauce
1 tbsp of tomato paste.
1 tsp of white wine/malt vinegar whatever you have in the house.
1 tsp of sweetener.
1/4 tsp of dried oregano.
1 clove of freshly crushed garlic.
In a bowl mix together the beef mince, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt and pepper and place in 10 or 12 inch round roasting tin depending on how thick you want the base!
Place under a hot grill for 20 minutes. The beauty of this recipe is that you can make the base in advance, prep and cook the night before you want to use it.
To assemble the pizza topping I add all of the ingredients for the no cook quick marinara sauce to a bowl and mix well. Spread on top of the base and add whatever toppings you like. I added 40g of grated mozzarella cheese or you can add 65g of low fat mozzarella per person.
You can add whatever toppings take your fancy then. For the one in the picture I added freshly sliced bell peppers, finely sliced onion and smoked turkey bacon. You might also like to try my low cal basil pesto.⬇which is beautiful with with sliced fresh buffalo mozzarella, juicy vine vine tomato and parmesan cheese.
Homemade Basil Pesto
1 tsp of Olive oil/alternative low cal cooking spray or oil.
1 tsp of freshly chopped garlic.
Freshly ground black pepper and salt to season.
10g of grated Parmesan cheese. (optional)
I like to serve with some home fries and seasonal salad.
