Serves 4 people
500g of extra lean beef mince
1/4 tsp of ground ginger
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of mild curry powder or cumin
1 tsp of garlic granules
1 tsp of chili powder
1/2 tsp of paprika
Salt and pepper
Low calorie cooking spray/coconut oil spray/ extra virgin coconut oil
1 tbsp of extra light mayonnaise
2 tbsp of quark or Fat free fromage frais 20mls of water
1 tsp of tomato puree
1/8 of tsp of sweetener
1/ 8 of a tsp of vinegar
1/4 tsp Garlic granules
1/4 tsp of chili powder
To make the kebab meat I add all of the ingredients to a bowl and combine well. I then place in an oven proof dish sprayed with low calorie cooking spray and place in the oven @200°c for 20 minutes.
While the meat is in the oven I prepare my sauce, slaw and chips. If you don’t want ro use a wholemeal pitta serve the kebab meat on the lettuce slaw which is just shredded iceberg lettuce and grated coldslaw.
To make my chips I cut a prepare the potatoes into chips, par boil for 5 minutes, remove and leave in a colander for a further 5 minutes. Place on a chip tray into the oven @200°c or in a tefal actifry or airfryer and spray well with low calorie cooking spray. I cook for about 15/20 minutes.
When the meat is cooked slice and add to a wholemeal pitta with some kebab sauce and a little of the lettuce slaw you may like to add some shredded purple cabbage just like the takeaway.
